Established in 1898 by Mary Kimball Morgan in St. Louis, Missouri, our school continues to offer an educational opportunity unlike any other. Because our primary mission is to serve the Cause of Christian Science, infants through high school seniors come to Principia for an education that encourages them to express their spiritual identity in unique, individual ways.
Our youngest Pre-School students begin with a nurturing, developmental program that leads into a well-rounded and supportive Lower and Middle School experience, and a rich, rigorous, college-preparatory program at our Upper School. Along the way, students thrive through our commitment to academic excellence, individual growth, experiential learning inside and outside the classroom, and ongoing character development.
Our faculty and staff members—all active Christian Scientists—cherish our founder’s vision for an education that supports the spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, and physical development of each and every student. As a result, students gain an understanding that encompasses far more than academic knowledge.
I invite you to get to know today’s Principia School. Explore our website and then plan a visit to campus. We’d love for you to see for yourself how our academic and character education programs help students grow into competent and confident young men and women!
