INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL AID

The Financial Aid Office welcomes the opportunity to assist international students that have been accepted for admission through the Admissions Office.  Every year, families of international students discover ways to provide their children with a Principia education.  Thanks to the many donors inspired by our education mission, Principia School is able to offer financial aid to international students through a program that is comprised of need-based aid. 

Admitted students may also apply for the Whole Man Leadership Award.  Note: The deadline for international students to apply for this scholarship award is May 1.

APPLICATION PROCESS

To file for financial aid you must complete the following steps:

1.  Complete and return the Principia International Student Application for Financial Aid.

2.  Submit at least two of the following:

            a.  your most recent tax form           

            b.  your most recent monthly bank statement

            c.  a verification of income

3.  Returning students who received financial aid the previous year must also write a thank you note which may be shared with donors who fund Principia’s financial aid program.

TIMING           

Returning students must have their financial aid submissions sent to the Financial Aid office no later than April 15.

New students should submit their financial aid request at the same time the Admissions application process is being completed.

OTHER EXPENSES

Financial aid applies to tuition, room, board, fees and international taxes only.  It does not apply to travel, clothing, personal items, activities or any other expenses a student may have during the school year.  Each family must be able to provide for these expenses as well as the balance they will need to contribute toward tuition, room and board (aside from any financial aid award that may be received).
