Our boarding families were once in your shoes. If you’d like to get their perspective, contact us and we’ll connect you!
Boarding at Principia provides 24/7 opportunities to discover, challenge, and develop yourself. That’s why nearly 150 students from all over the United States—and the world—choose to learn and live on campus each year. More than 50 percent of Upper School students are boarders, as well as 25 percent of seventh and eighth graders.
All four of our dorms—one apiece for boys and girls in Middle and Upper School—are safe, secure, and welcoming homes where houseparents cherish, value, and support every student. In these dorm families, boarders live, learn, and grow together, forming lifetime friendships and learning lifelong lessons.
Tony Veidelis shares how he and his wife learned to let go and gain an expanded understanding of family.
Kelly and Tim McCutcheon share how the boarding experience has blessed their son with opportunities to grow and cherish brotherhood.
Life in the dorms is filled with fun and activity—and quiet times, too. School, sports, social activities, spiritual time, and dorm outings make for busy, happy days. Get a glimpse of what life as a boarder looks like.
