Illinois Bus Information

Principia offers round-trip bus service from Elsah to Principia School on school days throughout the year in partnership with Illinois Central Bus Company. Our P-1 bus transports Preschool–Middle School students. A Principia bus chaperone always rides with students on the P-1 bus. The P-2 bus transports Upper School students. Parents may register children for bus transport through the enrollment process if they will be  regular riders.

Fees

The annual fee per child to ride the bus is $990 for the 2019–20 year. Occasional riders are charged $4.50 for one way and $9 for a single day round trip. The bus chaperone will keep a record of occasional P-1 riders. Occasional P-2 riders will need to sign a form indicating the date they rode and whether it was for one way or both ways.

Departure and Arrival Times

Please refer to the bus schedule for information on P-1 and P-2 arrival and departure times.

Contact Us

If you have additional bus questions, please contact Student Life Programs Director Lisa Johnson at lisa.johnson@principia.edu.
