Lower School Curriculum [pdf]

The Lower School provides a wonderful opportunity for the development of the whole child in a nurturing atmosphere. Students are encouraged and challenged to grow intellectually, socially, physically, morally, and spiritually by applying the principles of Christian Science in daily thinking, decision-making, and actions.

The core curriculum includes language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. All students also have regular classes in Spanish, P.E., art, and music. Across the curriculum, active learning, hands-on experiences, and a deep, broad, and rich exploration of the subject matter is the standard from first to fifth grade.

At the heart of the learning are high expectations for each student, a commitment to differentiating the curriculum so that every child is engaged, and character education based on a spiritual view.
