Walk through the halls of Middle School the first week of school, and you’ll notice an eerie silence. That’s because all Middle School students, faculty, and staff pack their bags and travel to CedarS Camps, located approximately three hours from campus, for an unforgettable four-day, unity-building adventure. Through activities that include service projects, preparing meals, caving, and playing games, students and adults connect as a school family to work together to build an atmosphere of cooperation, caring, and support.
More than any other school activity, the unity trip provides a tremendous opportunity for students to share memorable experiences and achieve a sense of unity that continues throughout the year. Artificial boundaries (grade level, gender, popularity, etc.) are broken, students get to know teachers in a less structured setting, and everyone agrees that it’s just plain fun.
