Upper School

Upper School is Principia’s high school (grades 9–12). The curriculum is college-preparatory and rooted in the liberal arts. Dedicated teachers who love their subjects—but love helping students succeed even more—teach a wide variety of challenging classes.

A Principia education, however, is based on far more than rigorous academics. It is uplifted by the fact that all teachers and students are practicing Christian Scientists. In that context, our high school program is like no other in the world.

Exciting extracurricular activities, strong character education, vigorous athletics, and an emphasis on 21st century learning skills that includes providing a tablet computer for every student, prepare Upper Schoolers for success in high school, college, and life.

Upper School students may live on campus in our girls’ and boys’ dorms. Students tell us that living here offers a remarkable opportunity to gain independence and make lasting friendships with other teens who share their values.

“Welcome to Principia Upper School—a community of thinkers and doers. Our community expects and supports hard work, clear, vigorous, unselfish thinking, and daily spiritual progress. We invite you and your child to join us and share in the blessings.”
