Academics

A Community That Values Learning

At the Upper School, students from all over the world come together to rise to new intellectual challenges and break limitations. It’s the goal of every Principia administrator, faculty and staff member to help students realize their full potential.

Our liberal arts curriculum is designed to prepare students well for the college of their choice, as well as build strong character and a zeal for lifelong learning. We offer a full array of courses in all major academic subjects including an honors and AP track. Students can also choose from a wide variety of challenging electives and a rich selection of applied, performing, and fine arts courses.

Our pupil-teacher ratios afford both students and teachers the opportunity to know each other well, confer daily after classes, and support and encourage students in all aspects of our spiritually based character education curriculum. Christian Science remains at the core of who we are, and our mission to serve the Cause of Christian Science undergirds all our academic work.

“We challenge our students! There's rigor in the courses we teach, in the homework we assign, and in the expectations we set. But we know that students have the inherent ability to do what we're asking of them, and it's our job to help them uncover and demonstrate that.”
