Skill, Self-discipline, and Artistry Combine

Upper School students can join the beginning, symphonic, or jazz band, as well as enroll in music theory classes. Members of the symphonic and jazz bands perform several times a year and compete in district and state music contests, both as soloists and in small ensembles. The annual spring musical production provides another exciting performance opportunity for Upper School musicians. Private lessons and independent music study are also available for the serious student-musician.

In each activity, students are introduced to various types of music, build their musical awareness, and improve their listening skills and technical proficiency, all of which contribute to an ever-increasing appreciation and love of music.
