All the World’s a Stage
Drama courses help students develop poise and confidence, improve speech, and foster creativity. Students discover and develop their acting abilities through theater games, pantomime, improvisational exercises, and script writing. Classes include basic acting, theater arts, advanced theater arts, and a required freshman speech course. At different points in the school year, students present one-act plays and monologues for a live audience. In the winter, drama students can participate in an elective trip to New York City to experience the excitement of theater on Broadway. Each spring, participation in Production—the school’s annual musical—is a rewarding and unforgettable experience in acting, singing, and dancing for students of all skill levels
