Students receive training in a variety of mediums including drawing, painting, pottery, printmaking, and sculpture. In each course, students are involved in creative activities that develop their imagination, self-discipline, and individual expression, as well as their knowledge of artistic techniques and aesthetics.
Advanced-level work allows students to apply for and work at the St. Louis Artists’ Guild three hours per week, with additional class time used for preparing a college portfolio. Applied arts coursework gives students hands-on experience in photography, digital design, web page design, desktop publishing, and flash animation.
