Physical Education

Meeting Every Challenge

Athletics are a vital part of the Principia educational experience—one that strengthens students’ character, discipline, and resolve, as well as physical skill. Students not participating in an interscholastic sport earn their P.E. credit in a physical education course. These classes allow students to experience a variety of athletic activities, based on the season and class size. Typical activities include, but are not limited to, soccer, floor hockey, tennis, football, team handball, racquetball, disc golf, basketball, volleyball, and strength training. An elective power-training class is also offered during the school day for those students who would like to devote more time and effort to their athletic endeavors.
