Social Activities

Something for Everyone

Typically, there’s at least one social activity scheduled every weekend, and always plenty of informal, spontaneous fun. Planned activities include casual and formal dances, bonfires, movies, outdoor parties with live music, sports events, open mike nights, on-campus concerts, and talent shows.

Students also spend lots of free time enjoying our beautiful 360-acre campus by taking walks through the woods, watching athletic events, playing ultimate Frisbee, sledding down a snowy hill, or just kicking back with friends in the social center while listening to music or grabbing a cheeseburger at the “the grill.”

For boarding students, the dorms have weekend sign-ups for those interested in going to the mall, seeing a movie, making a fast food run, going bowling, or picking up odds and ends at Walmart. Sundays tend to be quiet. Boarders leave campus to attend Sunday School. The library, gym, and swimming pool are open in the afternoon, and a weekly hymn sing takes place on Sunday evenings.

“Our students have so many different interests, we plan a wide variety of activities to accommodate everyone.”
