Day in the Life: Upper School
-
In the dorm, we start the day with quiet time and Bible Lesson study.
-
Then, it’s off to classes.
-
In physics, we enjoy figuring out how things work.
-
Our college-prep math classes offer plenty of challenge and growth.
-
Science classes regularly take learning outdoors.
-
We love learning about civic life, politics, art, and architecture in and around St. Louis.
-
In a Media Arts class, a visiting alum who’s a Hollywood producer helps us gain new perspectives.
-
We often use morning Crew time for community service—such as making blankets to donate.
-
Theatre classes give us the opportunity to write, direct, and produce plays—not just act in them.
-
Lunch time is filled with conversation, smiles—and good food!
-
A couple of times each semester, we put on our House colors and get into the spirit of friendly competition.
-
We often bring inspiring visitors to campus—such as Eric Weihenmeyer, the first blind man to summit Mt. Everest.
-
Robotics and computer coding are popular electives.
-
Our percussion section prepares to rock the house
-
Our visual arts program offers lots of choice for beginning and advanced artists.
-
Working in the IDEA Center—during class and on our own—is always productive.
-
With three seasons of sports and PE, every student has the opportunity to be active and develop skills.
-
Our girls’ soccer team recently took 3rd at State.
-
Rain or shine, our track athletes enjoy practices.
-
There's time to relax between dinner and study hall.
-
Most Wednesday evenings, we have student-led testimony meetings.
-
After study hall, it’s fun to hang out with friends.
-
Finally, a quick review of homework before lights out.
