Message From the Head of School

 

For over 125 years, Principia has been changing lives and cultivating young people who think deeply, live courageously, and act with integrity. As a proud Principian, it is my great joy and honor to serve as the Head of School for this remarkable community.

Principia’s purpose is to serve the Cause of Christian Science, and we do this by leading with love. Prayer and love are at the heart of everything we do, guiding how we teach, learn, and care for each other every day. We value diverse perspectives and are proud to be a global community with significant representation of students from around the world and faith backgrounds, all united by a commitment to spiritual growth, shared understanding, and mutual respect.

We are courageous in our educational approach. Our students don’t simply gather facts; they learn how to think critically, act with moral clarity, and contribute meaningfully to a world that needs their best. At Principia, knowledge meets purpose. We see each student, from our youngest infants to our graduating seniors, as capable of boundless growth, both intellectually and in character. Every classroom, playing field, experiential trip, dorm, and studio is a place where students discover how to live principled, purposeful lives.

Our athletic and performing arts programs offer far more than games and performances, they are true laboratories for building character, resilience, courage, leadership, and teamwork. Throughout our campus, you’ll find opportunities at every turn: opportunities to question, to create, to lead, and to serve.
