Make Way for Happy Readers!

When it comes to World Read Aloud Day, Principia Lower School nailed the assignment.

Students began their day in the gym, where teachers and administrators were waiting with their favorite books. After choosing the book they wanted to read, students followed teachers to their classrooms and circled up. In doing so, they joined millions around the country also celebrating this special day. “Reading aloud to children is the single most important activity for developing word mastery, grammatical understanding, and building their knowledge for success in reading,” says Lower School Principal Heather Tibbetts. “Reading is such a special time for parents and children of all ages to get lost in a good story together.”
