This year was a historic one for girls’ varsity basketball, as the Panthers reached the State Championship for the first time in School history! On March 7, Principia clinched second place in Missouri Class 2 in their battle against Skyline.
But long after the scoreboards had shut off, the accolades kept streaming in. Freshman forward Dasia Scott, who averaged a double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds per game, was named Class 2 Player of the Year by the Missouri Basketball Coaches’ Association; teammate Jayla Hawkins made the Class All-State Team; and girls’ basketball coach Josh Spuhl was recognized as the District Coach of the Year.
This was a breakthrough year for the team, and we look forward to more high-minded, hard-fighting successes to come!
