We love to start the day sharing information and inspiration.
Day in the Life: Lower School
Here are a few special moments possible in the day of a Lower School student.
Morning literacy sessions always begin with reading.
Working in pairs is a good way to practice and get feedback.
Our teachers are so supportive—and fun!
Morning recess is a great time to discover what happens when you puff on a dandelion.
After recess, it's time for some math.
Lunch in family style is fun!
Afternoons are busy with projects and hands-on work in a range of subjects.
We often conduct research outdoors and bring back samples for further study.
Planting and caring for nature are great ways to learn about science.
The Lower School Gym is a great place for indoor PE.
We love spending time on our outdoor climbing wall during Principia Adventure sessions.
On Wednesdays, we have After-School Enrichment where we build with Legos, create artwork, and learn sports.
By the time we get to grades 4 and 5, we all learn how to play a band instrument.
In the art studio, we often create multimedia pieces that relate to our study of science or social studies.
Sí, hablamos español! All Lower School students learn Spanish weekly.
We can’t wait for another day of learning with friends.
