Moving to St. Louis
Every year, we welcome families who relocate to the St. Louis area so their children can attend Principia School. St. Louis is a wonderful place to live. Here are just a few highlights of our metropolitan area.
Making the Move
Transitioning to a new school, a new job, a new life hundreds or thousands of miles away from home can seem daunting. But when Prinicipia is the right idea, the process often unfolds in wonderful and unexpected ways.

Known for its sense of community and as a great place to raise children, St. Louis is a terrific town to call home.
Cultural Highlights
Along with hosting a variety of its own performance companies, ranging from the Opera Theatre of St. Louis to The Black Rep, the city welcomes national touring companies at a variety of venues, including The Fabulous Fox. Powell Hall, another of the city’s historic venues, is home to the St. Louis Symphony.
Family Favorites
A family-friendly town, St. Louis has a wealth of activities for children as well. Among the most popular are the Saint Louis Zoo, The Magic House (a children’s museum), and the City Museum.
Forest Park
Even bigger than Central Park, Forest Park is the perfect place for a scenic stroll, bike, jog, or paddleboat ride. Or enjoy a game of golf, tennis, or handball. You can even go fishing in the park. In addition, admission is free to all of the park’s cultural resources—the Saint Louis Zoo, Saint Louis Art Museum, Saint Louis Science Center, and Missouri History Museum.
Summertime offers special opportunities at Forest Park with free Shakespeare in the Park performances and shows at The MUNY (the country’s oldest and largest outdoor musical theatre). Once winter arrives, activities ramp up at Steinberg Skating Rink, and snowy days draw sledders to the top of Art Hill. Forest Park brings out the best of every season!
