Application Dates & Deadlines

Applications for the fall 2025–2026 semester open September 16, 2024.

Fall 2025–26 Deadlines:

December 13, 2024: Fall semester 25-26 priority admission application due - 9th grade
January 14, 2025: Fall semester 25–26 priority admission application due - all other grades
After January 14, 2025, admission is rolling based on class-level availability.

Admission Testing

Complete admission testing using the SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test utilizing one of their virtual or in-person testing options.
- Please be aware that the at-home virtual version is the most expensive option.
Principia is offering an in-person testing option open to the public on November 9, 2024.
Principia is offering an in-person testing option for Principia applicants on January 25, 2025, please be in touch with admissions at admit@principia.edu for registration information.
9th grade applicants must have their testing complete by January 13, 2025. All other applicants must have their testing complete by February 10, 2025.

School Records & Recommendations

School Records – An official transcript with the current school year and the two previous school years must be submitted, as well as any school records including standardized testing results.
Teacher Recommendation – Within the SAO (Standard Application Online) there are required teacher recommendations that must be from a current core subject teacher.
Personal Recommendation – Within the SAO a recommendation must be submitted by an someone other than a teacher whom has worked directly with your child, such as a tutor, coach or music teacher.

SSAT
Students who turn 19 years old prior to July of their 12th grade year are not eligible for school admission
