Application Dates & Deadlines

Applications for the fall 2024–2025 semester are now open.

Spring Semester (January 2024) Application Deadline: November 27, 2023

Fall 2024–25 Deadlines:

• January 26: Early admission
• April 1: Priority admission
• June 3: Late admission (tuition assistance may no longer be available)

Principia School uses the date of August 1 as the age cut-off date for entry into Preschool and Kindergarten. Your child must be 3 years old to enter Preschool 3; 4 years old to enter Preschool 4; and all preschoolers must be potty trained.

A $50 application fee is required.

A family visit and a parent interview are required for admission and to retain a space in the wait pool.

Family Tours

A family tour of our Early Childhood facilities provides an opportunity to see the program up close and connect with the loving and supportive faculty and staff that make Principia so special. See and experience the Reggio-Emilia-inspired environment, ask questions, and get a feel for what we’re all about.  Tours are held each week on Wednesdays from 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM CST and Thursdays from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM, and registration for the tours closes 24 hours in advance.

Applying for tuition assistance is optional.

Tuition Assistance is only available for Preschool 3 and Preschool 4. Acorn and Early Learning Center programs do not qualify for tuition assistance.

Principia requires each family applying for tuition assistance to file a confidential online application. It is extremely important to submit the tuition assistance application on time, as there are budgetary limits to the available funds. Do not wait until a child is accepted to apply for assistance. 

Tuition Assistance application deadlines:

• January 26, 2024—Early Admission preschool through grade 5
• April 1, 2024—Priority Admission deadline for all grade levels
• June 3, 2024—Late Admission deadline for all grade levels

Applications for tuition assistance will be accepted beyond the deadline. However, the availability of tuition assistance may be limited.

Decisions and notification:

Applying for tuition assistance does not affect the admission decision. The admission decision is a separate process from the tuition assistance determination and is led by a separate committee. The committee deliberations are confidential and address only factors affecting the assessment of financial need. Prospective families can expect a tuition-assistance decision at the same time as their admission decision when applications are completed by the deadline.
