Making the Move

Get to know these families who made the move to St. Louis.

The Anastos Family—Following Their Daughter's Lead

Emily Anastos so enjoyed visiting Principia in eighth grade, that she returned home determined to attend the Upper School. Initially, her parents, Trish and David, weren’t thrilled about the idea, but then they visited and were “blown away.” Emily boarded at the Upper School for two years; then her parents moved to St. Louis for her junior and senior years. They’re thrilled with the ways Emily blossomed—especially as a leader.

From “Great” to Even Better—The Bosmans

Schools, jobs, housing, friends . . . Tracey and Andy Bosman felt they were in a “great situation” in the Chicago area. But experiencing firsthand Principia’s 21st-century learning in action during a campus visit made an indelible impression. So, against expectations, the Bosmans found themselves moving to St. Louis with their two children—who are now thriving in the Middle and Upper School.

Excellence (and Joy) in Learning—The Geis Family

With two older children in college and a change in employment, Jill and Mark realized it presented a new opportunity for their youngest daughter to have her own unique educational experience. Though initially apprehensive about moving from Wisconsin, Hannah dived right into Upper School life and is relishing classes, experiential trips, sports, and new friends.

The Dows: Fitting In—and Flourishing

With five children spanning elementary through high school age, the Dows were looking for an excellent education at every level. After their oldest daughter had a wonderful freshman year as a boarder, the rest of the family decided to join in the fun, too! While leaving Dallas wasn’t easy, Velvet and Kenny say the move has been more than worth it—for every member of the family.
